What kind of people worship at Main Street?
We are a church in the heart of the city for the hearts of the people.
As a centrally located church, our members are a diverse group of people, coming from various backgrounds, coming from all parts of the community. Our membership is at different stages of knowledge and spiritual growth.
We don't know everything. We don't do everything right. We try to treat others as we want to be treated, but some- times we fail. We are on a journey through an earthly life on our way to a spiritual eternity.
We are not brought together by any illusion of our perfection or righteousness. We have been brought together by our recognition that we are sinners in need of the cleansing blood of Jesus.
This is the reason we can worship together, stick together and with God's help, accomplish some things that make a difference in the world we live in. The bottom line is, here you will find people who love Jesus, love God's word and love each other.
Come and worship with us anytime. You will always be welcome at Main Street United Methodist Church.
Worship Servicesare held weekly in our beautiful sanctuary. Please come join us at 11 AM each Sunday.

DOWNTOWN SAFETY AND SECURITY PROPOSAL
Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, Main Street United Methodist Church, and Ebenezer Lutheran Church have formed a security task force to improve safety and security in the downtown Columbia area.
