Winding Lane Kennels & Stables, situated on 60 acres, is a full service boarding facility for dogs, cats, and horses. We are located off of SilverBluff Road in Aiken, South Carolina, on Claw & Paw Court. Visits are welcome during business hours. You can find directions to our facility on the news page.
...Kelli Hofstetter, purchased the property in May of 1998, from Charles O. Warner, and over the next nine months completely renovated the kennels. In February of 1999 the kennel was officially open for business.
...Kelli, who grew up in Hershey, Pennsylvania, always had a soft spot for animals, but in those days the options of careers in the animal industry and schooling were limited. She attended Shippensburg University for two and a half years as a Criminal Justice major before moving to Aiken. In 1993, she obtained a BA in Sociology from USC-Aiken. She started working at a local kennel back in 1990, while attending school, and worked there for six years. This is when she realized what her dream was, to one day have her own facility. She has also worked at the ASPCA (Aiken Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals), and has offered her services to various animal charities such as S.C.A.R.E., Molly's Militia, and PMU Foal Rescue. Kelli was certified as a Pet Care Technician in 1992, through the American Boarding Kennels Association, and has been in the Pet Industry since 1990.
