"In everything give thanks; for this is the will of God
in Christ Jesus concerning you."
As we enter in to this Thanks Giving Season Let us give thanks with a thankful heart filled with a thankful song!

Give thanks unto the Holy One,
Give thanks because He's given Jesus Christ, His Son(repeat 3 times)
And now let the weak say "I am strong",
Let the poor say "I am rich",
Because of what the Lord, has done for us(repeat)
(repeat all once more)

What is Vision?
If you look up a definition for vision online you will get something like this:
Definitions of vision on the Web:
· a vivid mental image; "he had a vision of his own death"
· sight: the ability to see; the visual faculty
· the perceptual experience of seeing; "the runners emerged from the trees into his clear vision"; "he had a visual sensation of intense light"
· imagination: the formation of a mental image of something that is not perceived as real and is not present to the senses; "popular imagination created a world of demons"; "imagination reveals what the world could be"
· a religious or mystical experience of a supernatural appearance; "he had a vision of the Virgin Mary"
Fortune 500 companies are constantly seeking leaders who have “Vision”. It is their vision that moves the company forward and creates profits.
The York Baptist Association is involved in a Vision Planning Process that is designed to lead us to seek a new vision for the YBA. However, we do not want a vision dreamed up by men, we want God’s Vision for the YBA! That is why our Vision Planning Team (VPT) has been leading the YBA Executive Committee in a 30 day prayer emphasis in preparation for our Collaborative Conversation on November 11. On that day we are inviting all Executive Committee members to participate in a forum in which we will share information about our mission field and discuss ways in which we feel God is leading us to address those needs. The VPT will take the information shared and boil it down to two or three major initiatives that God seems to be laying on the hearts of our Executive members. These initiatives will then be presented to our Executive committee meeting for further discussion. The initiatives will then be refined and a final “vision” will be presented for approval to a special Called Session of the YBA for adoption. The Final vision will lead our work as York Baptists for the next two to three years.
I would like to invite you to pray with us, seeking God’s Vision for the York Baptist Association.
And please feel free to join us on November 11,
9:00-12:30 (lunch provided)

Musings about a Great Commandment "Vision" in a Great Commission people.
By Mike O’Dell
North Rock Hill Church recently launched a “What If?” emphasis asking their members to consider what could happen if they got serious about allowing God to use them to meet the needs of their community. That got me to thinking, “What If” all 70 of our churches began asking that same question of their church?

What if every member of your church was a missionary to this culture? Thats right, what if every member of your church thought like a missionary thinks? What if they all acted like a missionary acts? What if each member did the things that missionaries do?

How different would your church be? How would that impact your community? How much more effective would your church be? How many more lives would be changed with the Gospel?

So….. what will it take to transition from being a church that just makes church members to a church that makes missionaries? It is a simple formula:

What If Every Pastor Were A Mission Strategist?
