In 2000, AirTight Insulation was formed in Charleston, South Carolina by two local friends, George Druyos and Troy Herring. The company was started as a two man outfit and has grown over the last 10 years to become a multimillion dollar operation with territories ranging from Myrtle Beach to Savannah. We have a warehouse facility in North Charleston, a business office in West Ashley, as well as a full service office in Bluffton. To this day, the company is still locally-owned and operated. Troy Herring has moved up to become the National Sales Manager for Lapolla over the AirTight Insulation Corporate Division. Lapolla is one of the worldwide leaders in the manufacturing of polyurethane foam and coatings. George Druyos remains as the General Manager over the entire AirTight Sprayfoam and Southeastern Mold Solutions Group. We have been the number one group in the nation under the Lapolla/AirTight flag for five years running. We have expanded our services to include a full line of insulation products, energy audits and analysis, mold remediation and coatings as well as a full scope of service for remodels and retrofits.

My husband and I had a small zoo under our house that would keep us awake at night. The raccoons and rats would build nests out of the fiberglass in our crawlspace up against our hardwood floors and we could hear them. The guys at AirTight came out and showed us how comfortable we had made the rodents with the fiberglass and the heating and cooling leakage going through the floors. They removed the fiberglass for us and then sprayed closed cell spray foam to the sub floor. That night was the best night sleep we had gotten in months.
