Welcome to The Cargo Hold, Inc. and our collection of sterling silver Southern Gates.
Ornamental ironwork in the deep South reflected the influence of blacksmiths, through time, forging folk art into gates, balconies and grills. The pieces in this sterling silver collection are reminiscent of that ironwork.
The intricate scroll designs are a tribute to the skill of artisans in the past who wrought beauty from the iron in their forges. These clean, distinct lines show as well in jewelry as they did in the decorative ironwork of the South in the 18th and 19th centuries.
We are wholesale jewelers in business since 1973. For these 37 years we have sold sterling silver to the trade. This fall we expanded our Southern Gates Collection to over 150 styles. It includes, for the first time, silver and 14k gold combinations and solid 14k gold styles.
Styles in this collection are the highest quality and have a connection with tradition and culture. They are a timeless keepsake and wonderfull gift that can be passed delightfully from one generation to the next!
