It is during the Thanksgiving Holiday that I am reminded of the poem Footprints. A man had a dream he was walking along the beach with the Lord and during the good times of his life he saw two sets of footprints. However, when times got hard and he needed help the most he only saw one set of footprints. The man asked the Lord, "Why during the good times in life were there two sets of footprints and when I needed you most, during the hard times in life, was there just one set of prints?" The Lord replied to him, "It was then that I carried you." Remember this Thanksgiving to thank God for the good times in life, but don't forget to thank Him for carrying us through the hard times as well.
