Easley Dance Conservatory opened its dooors in 2000 with a single instructor and studio. Since then, EDC has grown and expanded to include: seven faculty members, two large studios, three competition companies and two annual performances. Easley Dance Conservatory produces Pickens County's only full length version of "The Nutcracker".
Dance is an exciting, creative, evolving art form. At EDC we strive to provide all students with a comprehensive dance education. As part of that education, students will learn dance vocabulary, history and movement. In order to keep pace with current trends, our faculty members continue their studies at various workshops and conventions.
Dance study comes with rewards and benefits that can last a lifetime. Increased physical strength, flexibility, and endurance are outwardly apparent benefits of dance. Self-discipline, time management, and increased memorization skills are benefits that will last a lifetime. In addition dance develops posture, grace, and overall poise. Dance benefits both male and female students.
