THE CONSUMER LAW OFFICES OF C. STEVEN MOSKOS
We live in a world of mass produced goods created by individuals and corporations we will never see or meet. Even though most manufacturers make good products, occasionally they make and sell defective ones. How do you protect yourself when you buy a defective car or truck, when you buy a "lemon"? As a consumer, you have rights on the federal and state levels. Let me explain your rights and show you how to protect your investment. Click on a "lemon" to see how I can help you.
Education is the key to enforcing your rights. To see if you have a "lemon" car under South Carolina law, read my article The South Carolina Lemon Law: Lemon or Lemon-Aid. If you feel that your car qualifies as a lemon, fill out our Interview Form. We will review it and get back to you to discuss the matter further.
We feel auto fraud is a tremendous problem in our society. Because of the pressure to sell cars in todays competitive market, some dealerships allow or perpetuate fraudulent practices. Sometimes the dealer or salesman will roll back the vehicles odometer or sell a rebuilt wrecked vehicle without disclosing the prior damage. Sometimes the dealer will try to force a customer to buy a car by refusing to give back the customers trade-in. Many times dealerships fail to comply with the federal Truth In Lending Act and the Fair Credit Reporting Act. When you experience a problem at a dealership, you can turn to us for help.
