Our practice has enjoyed a national reputation as a leader in contact lens innovation, specializing in hard to fit patients. Our Sports Vision athletic enhancement program has been featured in the Post and Courier, on Channel 2 Sports, ESPN radio, and national golf publications. Our office also includes comprehensive services for patients interested in laser refractive surgery, or the most fashionable eyewear at our boutique optical shop downtown.
Charleston Eye - DowntownOur Downtown Charleston practice has enjoyed a national reputation as a leader in contact lens innovation, specializing in difficult to fit patients. Because we are clinical investigators for various contact lens companies, we always have the latest in contact lens designs.
The practice has been on Rutledge Avenue since S. Thomas Scarborough, O.D., began seeing patients there in 1959. Robert W. Lopanik, O.D., first joined the practice in 1973, and expanded the scope of practice from contact lens specialty to include the full range of eyecare needs.
