Harden Tuten Custom Homes has been one of southeastern South Carolina's premier residential builders since 1989 when it was formed by commercial builder Joe Harden. In 2002 Mike Tuten was hand-picked by Joe Harden to be his successor in ownership of the company.
Mike Tuten, a native of coastal South Carolina, was no stranger to the construction business. Mike's family had been builders and Mike had served as Vice-President of Greenwood Development Corporation, developers of several communities on Hilton Head Island including Palmetto Dunes, Leamington, Palmetto Hall, and Shelter Cove.
Throughout its' history Harden Tuten Custom Homes has been in the forefront of the residential building community consistantly recognized for quality construction, on-time delivery, and pre-construction and post-construction service.
Since the beginning, the company has built one-of-a-kind custom homes, designed to suit each client's lifestyle, needs, and desires, as well as semi-custom homes from and extensive library of plans that can be easily and inexpensively customized to the owner's requirements.
Harden Tuten enjoys collaborative Design/Build relationships with many of the Low Country's leading architects and home designers in addition to an in-house program for our semi-custom clients.
