For more than three decades, The Ernest E. Kennedy Center has been providing quality, caring services to the citizens of Berkeley County of South Carolina. We offer a wide range of prevention, intervention and treatment programs in three central locations convenient to residents throughout the county.
Through a team of caring and dedicated professionals, The Kennedy Center gives hope to those affected by substance abuse and addiction. Our progressive and proven programs and services stress that adverse effects from alcohol, tobacco and other drugs are both preventable and treatable.
The Kennedy Center is a private, non-profit organization that is designated as a county substance abuse authority by the SCDAODAS, South Carolina Department of Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse Services. In conjunction with 32 other county authorities, this integral network treats over 50,000 South Carolinians annually throughout all 46 counties of the state.
The programs of the Ernest E. Kennedy Center are nationally accredited by CARF, Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities. This international body provides riqorous quality standards that help promote the highest degree of service delivery to those with disabilities. In addition, both of our facilities are licensed by DHEC, the South Carolina Department of Health & Environmental Control as a quality substance abuse provider.
