When Abraham Mescon opened his doors for the first time in 1938, he was in the business of manufacturing and selling window shades. He eventually moved into selling fabrics and other decorating materials. After World War II, Charleston started to experience a population growth that continues today. In order to take advantage of the residential building boom, MESCONS moved into floor sales and installation. The commercial opportunities soon followed giving way to an expansion into the ceiling tile arena.
Today, MESCONS remains locally owned and operated, providing the same special service experienced by generations of Charlestonians.
