Welcome to the website of Clark-Glidewell/Architect, an architectural firm in Charleston, South Carolina. Clark-Glidewell/Architect specializes in restoration, renovation and new construction of both traditional and historic buildings. One of the goals of my firm is to restore, renovate and maintain all buildings to meet the clients immediate and future needs. My second goal is to design new homes in a traditional style that work for the twenty-first century but blend with the surrounding area. Mystyle emphasizes honest lines, natural materials and superior craftsmanship in home and all aspects of life. I have been designing with "green" materials for years. I continue to learn new and updated information on key aspects of building so that all my clients reap the benefits. My final goal is to have a satisfied client. As an architect, I am here to guide you through the design and building process, but ultimately you will be the one who lives in your home. It has to meet your immediate and future family needs.
I graduated from the University of Michigan with a Bachelor of Science in Architecture and Master of Architecture degrees. As an extra bonus I concentrated in historic preservation during my Masters program. I also studied modern Danish architecture while studying abroad during my Masters program. I have traveled extensively through Europe, Africa, and Central America. I am a member of the Preservation Society of Charleston, National Trust, and AIA CRAN (Custom Residential Architectural Network). I am quite confident I can meet the design needs of any home renovation or new construction process.
