Dr. Lowrey King has authored or coauthored more than a dozen major ophthalmology journal articles and has contributed chapters to medical and surgical textbooks on ophthalmic surgery. He has taught and trained over 35 ophthalmology residents, and has mentored both American and International retina fellows while serving as a member of the faculty at MUSC. He is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. He is past president of the South Carolina Society of Ophthalmology and is current member and past president of the Charleston Ophthalmological Society. He has repeatedly been awarded a place in Best Doctors in America™ over the past ten years and has been selected for membership in Strathmore’s Who’s Who.
