Birds and Exotics Animal Care is a specialty veterinary practice dedicated to the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of disorders affecting birds, reptiles and other exotic animals (ferrets, guinea pigs, hedgehogs, rabbits, fish, etc). We are currently the only state of the art veterinary hospital in South Carolina created especially for the needs of birds and exotic animals. We also accept referral cases from veterinarians throughout the state and surrounding areas.

Directions to Birds and Exotics Animal Care:
From US-17 S: Take US-17 into Mount Pleasant. You will pass under the I-526 overpass, and shortly after you will come to the intersection of US-17 and Bowman Rd. East Cooper Hospital will be on your Right. Go through that light, and at the next light, take a Right onto Anna Knapp Blvd. Take the immediate Left onto the frontage road running parallel to US-17. This is the road we are on. You will pass the Chick-Fil-A restaurant and the Publix grocery shopping center. On your Right you will see a blue and white sign reading "The Agent Owned Realty Co" -- turn Right at that sign, bear Left in the parking lot and you will be in front of our building. We are a two-story golden building with a large sign on a post reading "Birds and Exotics Animal Care" with a picture of a parrot and an iguana on it.
From US-17 N: You will pass through Charleston, staying on US-17. Go over the bridge. DO NOT take any exits from the bridge, stay on US-17 all the way across the bridge, and you will be in Mount Pleasant on US-17. Go through the first two lights and at the third light, make a Left onto South Shelmore Blvd. Take the immediate Right onto the frontage road running parallel to US-17. This is the road we are on. You will pass the 84 Lumber and Sofa Super Store. Less than 1/8 mile up the frontage road, you will see a large burgundy wooden sign with white letters reading "Lafayette Village" -- turn Left at that sign and you are in our plaza. Drive forward a bit in the parking lot and you will be in front of our building. From I-526: Take I-526 towards Mount Pleasant. Take Exit 30, US-17 S towards Charleston. Go through the first light. At the second light, take a Right onto Anna Knapp Blvd. Take the immediate Left onto the frontage road running parallel to US-17.
